As is obvious by reading the above headlines in order, the world’s ruling institutions are starting to make serious noises about worldwide food problems, thanks mostly to the direct assault to the own interests, posed by rioters.  It remains to be seen whether the big institutions (IMF, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, World Trade Organizatinon, etc.) will put real programs into place to deal with these problems, or whether they will merely keep telling the world that there’s a problem (we know this) and that it should be solved.
